Nida, crepe, georgette: which fabric for which day
They look similar on a screen and behave completely differently once you are wearing one.

Most of what we make comes in one of three fabrics, and the difference matters more than the colour does.
Nida
Matte, with a slight weight to it. It hangs straight rather than clinging, does not go shiny where it rubs, and washes at home. It is what most of our everyday abayas are cut in, and if you are buying your first piece from us it is the safe answer.
The trade-off: it is warm. In real heat, it is not the one.
Crepe
A crinkled surface that hides creases, which is why it travels well. Slightly more fluid than nida so it moves more as you walk. Good for evening, good on a plane.
The trade-off: the better crepes want dry cleaning.
Georgette
Sheer, light and very fluid. It is the one that photographs beautifully and the one that needs a lining or a slip underneath. Lovely for occasion pieces, impractical as a work uniform.
The trade-off: it snags, and it frays if you alter it.
In short
Everyday and washable: nida. Travelling or an evening out: crepe. An occasion where it will be looked at: georgette, lined.
